  Jyotirmath also called Jyotir Math and Joshimath, is a popular hill station and a municipal board in Chamoli District in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is home to one of the four cardinal pithas established by Adi Shankara. Joshimath is situated in the nest of Himalaya on route from Haridwar to the Hindu sacred shrine of badrinath. It is also the junction point for people visiting Auli, one of the best skiing spots in India.  
     
  Summer : The temperatures during the summer season are mild and can rise up to a maximum of around 26C. However the average day temperatures are usually in the mid twenties for the most part.  
     
  Monsoon : During monsoon the place receives rainfall from the South West Monsoon and travelling during this time is difficult. Conditions can be cold during the nights as well.  
     
  Winter : The winter months temperature varies from 2 C to 11 C.January is the collest month of the winter.  
     
  Clothing : The most appropriate outfits to wear in Joshimath include cotton clothes and light woolen in summer and heavy woolen clothes in winter.
