  Popularly known as the "Paradise on the Earth", Jammu & Kashmir is the most picturesque destination in the northern part of India. Jammu also known as Duggar, is one of the three administrative divisions within Jammu and Kashmir, the northernmost state in India. Jammu city is the largest city in Jammu and the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu City is also known as "City of Temples" as it has many temples and shrines, with glittering shikhars soaring into the sky, which dot the city's skyline, creating the ambiance of a holy and peaceful Hindu city.  
     
  Summer : Jammu has a subtropical climate.Jammu gets very warm in the summers with average temperatures between 40C and 18C.  
     
  Monsoon : Monsoons have a humidity of around 70% and stretch from middle of July to middle of September. Entire valley is surrounded by a thick fog during this season.  
     
  Winter : Winters are marked by chilling weather conditions when the temperature dips down to less than 4 degree celsius during nights.  
     
  Clothing : During Summer light cotton fabric and during winter heavy and medium woolen dresses are advisable.
