The Hoysalas brought world wide acclaim to the district through their unique style of Temple Architecture. It is surrounded by 6 districts namely Chikmagalur, Mangalore, Kodagu, Mysore, Mandya & Tumkur.

Summer : Summers in Hassan are relatively warm with temperatures between 33C max to 18C min.

Winter : Winters are very pleasant with temperatures between 33C max and 14C min.
