  Gadag is a city in Karnataka state in India. It is the administrative headquarters of Gadag District. Gadag and its sister city Betageri (or Betgeri) have a combined city administration. Gadag has been a important seat of Hindustani music in north Karnataka, and is home to the Hindustani singer Pandit Bhimsen Joshi.  
     
  Summer : The temperature during this time is very hot and the proceedings can get very humid too. Temperatures rise to a maximum of thirty five degrees (37C) during this time.  
     
  Monsoon : The monsoon season is extensive and rainfall is prevalent. The months of October and November form the post monsoon season and the conditions are pleasant and comfortable.  
     
  Winter : During the months of winter the temperature may drop to an average of about 16 °C. The best time to visit Gadag is during the months of November to March.
