  Kochi is the commercial capital of the Southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Kochi is a clean, green port city in Kerala, which stands dotted with a number of sites and monuments of historical significance. At the same time, it is also emerging as an important bustling trading centre. Cochin has been a popular tourist destination attracting visitors from all across the world. Cochin is also a major shipping port and has attracted travelers throughout history.  
     
  Summer : Cochin is a seaside town just 10 degrees north of the equator. Hence, it is a moderately hot and humid place round the year.  
     
  Monsoon : Heavy showers with thunder and lightning are experienced between June-September due to the south-west monsoon. The north-west monsoon brings light rainfall during October-December.  
     
  Winter : December to February is comparatively cooler than the rest of the year.  
     
  Clothing : Light cotton clothes can be carried while visiting Kochi during summer. Light woolen can be carried for winter.
