  Bhatinda named after the Bhati Rajput kings, is one of the oldest cities in Punjab, India and the current administrative headquarters of Bathinda District. It is situated in north-western India in the Malwa (Punjab) Region, 225 km west of the capital city of Chandigarh. Bhatinda is known for its historical and religious significance.  
     
  Summer : Summer temperatures can be as high as 41C .The weather is generally dry, but is very humid from mid-May to the end of August.  
     
  Monsoon : Monsoons in Bhatinda are moderate as rainfall here is fairly unpredictable.Rainfall is primarily from the south-west due to monsoon weather, and is concentrated in the period July to mid-September.  
     
  Winter : Winters in the city of Bhatinda will be characterized by low temperatures and a generally pleasant weather. The temperature ranges from 34 C to 4 C  
     
  Clothing : Carrying woollen clothing is extremely important in this region durig winter. If traveling in summer, light cotton clothes will be comfortable. Also, loose dresses will be a better choice than the tight fitting ones.
